Great Opportunities at the Fall
‘08 SAF Model Search
The SAF Model Search has quickly established itself as one
the premier women’s physique events in Canada. Reflecting back over our first three
shows, I believe that there are just three things that are responsible for the SAF Model
Search’s fast rise to the top.
First, the awards are impressive. At every event, prizes
worth thousands of dollars are given out to the competitors, and the first-place winner in
each category goes home with a cash prize. That’s something few other Canadian-based
competitions can match.
The second thing has to do with the way our shows are run.
One of our mandates is to make sure that every woman who competes has a positive and
rewarding experience, regardless of their final placing. So we make sure there’s
plenty of help for the competitors on and off the stage, and that the events are run
professionally and on time. Not everyone can win, but we want everyone who competes to
feel that they participated in a top-flight event.
Third, there are significant benefits for the winners after
the show. For example, the top-three winners in each category become part of a select
group that we call the SAF Elite, a distinction that opens up a world of opportunities for
anyone who wants to become a role model in the fitness industry.
The SAF Elite are featured in SeriousAboutFitness.com and
our related sites, and many of our Elite women also appear in print-based publications
such as Oxygen and Inside Fitness. The SAF Elite are the ones we turn to for
our other projects such as the training videos we produce, and they are also the women we
showcase on our promotional items such as posters.
This select group of women also has the opportunity to take
part in our SAF Elite Championship, now one of the most prestigious competitions in this
country. The winner of our first SAF Elite Championship was none other than Natalie
Waples, one of Canada’s best-known models who is also a national- and
international-level competitive-figure champion. Becoming an SAF Elite Champion is now the
highest honor in our organization.
Obviously, there are more than enough reasons for anyone to
want to enter an SAF Model Search event. The competitions are well run, have great prizes,
and offer a wealth of opportunities for anyone who wants to become a big name in the
fitness industry. Does it interest you? If so, what are you waiting for? The next event is
the Fall ‘08 SAF Model Search on November 1 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It’s
open to any woman 18 years of age or older from anywhere in the world and no previous
competition experience is required. Hopefully we’ll see you there!
