Michelle Matthews is not
only the coordinator of the SAF Camps, she's one of the instructors too. Her presentation
at the April event on diet and nutrition was informative for competitors and
non-competitors alike.

SAF Camps and Competitions
Were Creating Superstars!
I just got back from the first SAF Fit Camp & Seminar,
something Im proud to say was a huge success. The event proved very popular, and the
women who attended spent about eight hours learning firsthand from physique stars Nina
Luchka, Natalie Waples and Michelle Matthews. Whats more, our instructors
didnt just talk about competing in figure and in our SAF Model Search
competitions, they also taught the women how to get themselves in the best shape
possible even if they never have any desire to compete. Our aim was to make sure that
there was something for everyone. Based on the feedback we received, I believe we achieved
our goal. Furthermore, I suspect that as a result of the success of this first SAF Fit
Camp & Seminar, were going to see people emerge who will become the superstars
of tomorrow. They have the knowledge they need; now they just have to apply it.
But even though the first SAF Camp & Seminar is over,
our work is not done. In fact, its just beginning. Right around the corner is the
Summer 2008 SAF Model Search, which will be held in London, Ontario, Canada. This
prestigious event features two divisions: Open and Elite. Once again, something for
everyone.
Any woman 18 years of age or older from anywhere in the
world is allowed to compete in the Open division no previous competition experience
is required. Within the Open division, there are two categories: Fitness Model and Figure
Model. Women can choose which one suits them best. Full details about each are on the
SAFModelSearch.com website. The first-place winners from each category get cash prizes,
and the top three winners in each category qualify to be part of the SAF Elite. The women
who become part of our Elite will be the stars we feature and promote in the
SeriousAboutFitness.com network of sites.
The Elite division is only open to those
women who are part of our SAF Elite, but although there are currently 17 SAF
Elite-qualified competitors, only ten are invited to compete in the June 21 event. This
invitation-only competition has even higher cash prizes, and the women who compete in it
have the opportunity to reach for the very top. Our SAF Elite are the very best fitness
models in Canada, and this competition will crown the best of the best.
When you read about what were up to, youll see
that here at SeriousAboutFitness.com, were not just producing another fitness
magazine; we are creating something much more, and we promote the people who are part of
our team, which is increasingly rare with publications today. As a result, the women who
come to our camps and competitions have the potential to gain access to our world, whether
its through learning or competing, and the women who achieve our SAF Elite status
become the ones we promote in our pages here and elsewhere. In summary, through our camps
and competitions, were helping to lay the groundwork that will create the superstars
you read about today as well as the ones who will be featured tomorrow.
The world of SeriousAboutFitness.com is an exciting place
to be with almost endless opportunities for those who want to be involved. Dont miss
out!
