Succeed with SAF
Last month, I wrote about
three things that can increase the chances of success for someone who wants to get ahead
in the fitness industry. This month, I’m going to tell you about one thing that will drastically
improve the odds of succeeding – the SAF Model Search.
The SAF Model Search events, which debuted in 2007, were
not only some of the most exciting women’s competitions of last year, but they also
changed the landscape for women’s physique-type events by offering things that were
missing from other competitions. For example, every SAF Model Search event offers prize
money to its winners, which is rare for these kinds of competitions. Also, the top three
in each category not only receive great gift packages, but they also earn SAF Elite status, something I’ll explain more
fully below. In addition, every competitor goes home with a gift package filled with
valuable items – our way of showing appreciation to everyone who comes out to
compete. In short, there are significant rewards for competing at an SAF Model Search
event.
Furthermore, the SAF Model Search events guarantee
tremendous exposure opportunities, not just for the winners but for everyone who enters.
Photos of all the competitors are featured in the "Galleries" section of
SAFModelSearch.com, and every competition is videotaped by our SAF multimedia team, both
onstage and backstage, and the footage is used for our promotional videos.
Of course, the exposure opportunities for the winners are
even better. The top-three winners are profiled in SeriousAboutFitness.com, and
they’re photographed in order to be featured throughout our SAF network of sites and
resources. These women are also our first picks to star in our exercise videos. The SAF
Model Search winners end up becoming stars!
Perhaps most important, the SAF Model Search events can
help launch careers by offering unique opportunities – things only open to
those who are part of the SAF Elite. In fact, earning SAF Elite status is often why many
compete.
Once competitors place in the top three at an SAF Model
Search event, they are automatically qualified for SAF Elite status and hold that
designation for life. That title not only allows them to compete in SAF Elite-level
competitions that offer even greater prizes, prestige, and exposure, but it also allows
them to be involved in exciting, unique SAF projects and initiatives. In a nutshell, once
competitors become part of our Elite, we swing the doors open and allow them into the
world of SAF, which, in turn, can help them succeed in the fitness industry –
something a number of our SAF Elite stars are already taking advantage of.
For example, Michelle Matthews, the Figure Model runner-up
at the Fall 2007 SAF Model Search, expressed a desire to put her experience and knowledge
to work to help educate women about getting into shape. As a result, we found a unique
place for her on our writing staff – Michelle is now our recipes editor, and
she’ll also be contributing additional articles from time to time. Michelle De Maria,
the Fitness Model runner-up at the same event (you can read about Michelle in this
month’s "People" section), displayed the same sort of eagerness to be
involved in our projects. As a result, she is being featured in the Building a
Beautiful Body #2 DVD and will be taking on more initiatives in 2008. In addition,
other SAF Elite stars are currently participating in projects that you’ll learn more
about in the near future.
The SAF Model Search is a unique event concept that’s
raises the bar for women’s competitions by offering great prizes and extraordinary
opportunities for those who participate. As a result, it’s not only a great
competition, but it’s also something that can open doors into the fitness industry
and help you to find your own, personal way to succeed. Don’t miss out on the next

In 2008, SAF Model Search events will be held on June 21
and November 1. These are "Open" competitions meaning that any woman 18 years of
age or older is eligible to compete. No previous competitive experience is required. As
well, the first-ever SAF Elite-level competition will be held on June 21. This competition
