SeriousAboutFitness.com, SAFModelSearch.com, and TheStarPowerStudio.com – Working Together to Make You a Star!

When we started SeriousAboutFitness.com in 2002, it was simply an online magazine and there was nothing else. Now, more than five years later, SeriousAboutFitness.com is part of the SAF Network, which also includes SAFCoverGirls.com, GirlsofSAF.com, SAFGirlTalk.com, and SAFModelSearch.com. These sites all have a distinct identity, but they’re all directly related to SeriousAboutFitness.com with the idea that they work together synergistically to make something far larger and more influential than we had with just a single site. It’s what we believe networking should be about.

But when we added SAFModelSearch.com, we didn’t just add another site. The SAF Figure and Fitness Model Search event that the site promotes took SeriousAboutFitness.com from being just in the online world with content you could only see on the Internet and brought it out into the real world with live women competing on a stage. In addition, the SAF Model Search created brand new stars – fit-minded females that the world now knows and reads about.

Aleisha Hart and Maya Avelino were the big winners at the 2007 SAF Model Search on June 15, and with the Fall 2007 SAF Model Search happening on November 10, we’ll see two more women reach the very top. It’s an exciting time for these women, and it’s just as exciting a time for us, since there’s nothing we like more than finding brand-new stars to showcase on SeriousAboutFitness.com and the related sites. In fact, doing so is one of the things that drives us to improve, which is why we’re always looking for new and innovative ways to make the women involved in the SAF Network even better known than they are today.

So, this month, we’re pleased to announce something new that will help achieve this – "The Star Power Studio," located at TheStarPowerStudio.com. It is an exciting, original concept that will make our SAF Network stars even better known and adheres to the old saying, Every company is only as good as its people.

The idea behind TheStarPowerStudio.com is to bolster the star-making power of the SAF Network by creating outstanding and timeless images of the women involved. In fact, when you visit TheStarPowerStudio.com, you’ll see that it says, "We Make Superstars!" When we say that, we mean it. The people featured there will become even more recognizable in the fitness industry, further ensuring that they are remembered for many years to come.

TheStarPowerStudio.com is a collaborative effort between our creative staff and the models featured there, resulting in a limited number of outstanding, memorable images that showcase the team’s talent. We will be doing photography in-house, and the final images will be created by our world-class graphic artist, Karen Fanas. We already have images of two of our most famous SAF Elite models, Christy Wolfe, Stacey-Lynn Mlinarevic, and Natalie Waples, on display at TheStarPowerStudio.com right now. (There might be more depending on when you read this article.)

We’re really excited about this initiative, and I know the women who will be involved will be just as excited too. Furthermore, we know of no other publication that puts this kind of effort into creating and promoting the fitness world’s newest stars. We don’t want flavor-of-the-month stars like so many publications feature; rather, we want to develop stars who inspire others and will be remembered for years to come. That’s why we feel that TheStarPowerStudio.com concept is unique.

So, how can you be involved with TheStarPowerStudio.com if you want to be? Unfortunately, it won’t be easy. As I mentioned, there will be only a limited number of images produced over time, meaning only a select group of people will be involved. However, there is one way to guarantee that you’ll get yourself in if you have the ambition to be well known – our SAF Model Search.

For the most part, we will be working with our team of SAF Elite models. The SAF Elite are those women who place in the top three in either category at one of our SAF Model Search events. These women are special to us, since by placing in the top three, they have achieved something quite exceptional. As a result, they deserve the best treatment we can give them. This is just one more reason why our SAF Model Search competitions are becoming so popular.

In just over five years, SeriousAboutFitness.com has grown from a single online magazine into a network of sites, and now we’re the host of one of the most exciting women’s physique events in Canada – the SAF Model Search. Furthermore, the winners of our competitions don’t just get great prizes and gifts, they also become stars. Winners are profiled in our pages, photographed for our various galleries, and now, through TheStarPowerStudio.com, they will be captured in such a way that their image will be looked at, admired and remembered for years to come.
