Cause for Celebration

Well, it’s official. The SeriousAboutFitness.com website has been around for one year. It's a great feeling to see how it has evolved over the past twelve months. In fact, it’s kind of like the rush of competing in that a lot of time and effort, from many people, has gone into making this site what it is today -- and it's not until we sit back to reflect and enjoy it that we realize what we have achieved. We hope that you've enjoyed it so far, and will continue to read us in the future.

I’ve mentioned before, and have heard many other competitors say, that one of the biggest challenges of fitness is making time to manage a competition schedule while getting everything else done in the day. Well, the same applies to managing this website, especially just before a show. But also similar to fitness, dedication and hard work are what make the end result so rewarding.

With everything that’s involved in getting ready for a show, whether it’s for the on- or off-season, your day-to-day life must go on. That is why getting and staying organized is a must. Similar to preparing for a fitness show, it requires a little thought and pre-planning, and a whole lot of getting down to business.

On that note, I recently received a request from a fellow fitness competitor, asking if I’d post an article that I’d written a few years back for Bodysport magazine about making time to train for fitness. I think that now would be the perfect time for it, and the article will be part of our September mid-month update. So with that I'll say, so long for now, enjoy the current articles we have online, and enjoy "Making It Happen," online September 15th in this month’s "Edge" department.
